Automations
When something happens, if the conditions match, run an action - reviews before commits, docs kept in sync, red CI turned into Factory work - all under your automated-run rules.
An automation is a rule of the form WHEN an event happens, IF conditions match, THEN run an action. Actions run unattended, under your automated-run rules: anything that would ask you is held for review instead.
Open a project's Automations tab, or the Global one for every project.

New automation, then pick:
| WHEN | IF (optional) |
|---|---|
| After the agent edits files | Only matching files (src/**); only when idle |
| An unattended run is held for approval | |
| A tool call is blocked by policy | Only for a rule id |
| This project's PR checks go red | Only for a check name |
| On a schedule | Cron, or a preset: weekdays 9am, daily 8am, hourly, every 30 minutes |
| A change passes assurance verification | At or above a level |
| THEN | Does |
|---|---|
| Notify me | A notification in the inbox |
| Run a local AI review | Reviews the changes with your review model |
| Run a workflow | A workflow from the repository |
| Run an agent | One of your agents with a prompt |
| Run a recipe | A recipe from the Library |
| File ideas into the Software Factory | Turns what it finds into Factory ideas |
Add Post the result to my inbox or Also send to Telegram, and a cooldown so a busy trigger doesn't fire on every keystroke. Run this action now tests it; Dry run & export previews it, and Copy CI snippet turns workflow, agent and recipe actions into a GitHub Actions job.
Or describe it: Author with AI (Describe an automation… → Draft automation) opens the draft in the editor, switched off, for you to check.
Ready-made automations#
Every new project gets four, switched off until you turn them on:
- Review my changes before I commit: a local AI review after the agent edits files.
- Keep docs in sync when code changes: runs a docs agent when
src/**changes. - Update docs once a level is proven: when a change reaches L2 or higher.
- Flag when a tool call is blocked: a notification with the rule.
The gallery adds more in a click: Run my pre-PR workflow after edits, Draft a changelog entry after edits, Tell me when a level is earned, Tell me when an unattended run gets stuck, Fix failing tests on my PRs, Morning triage, When CI goes red, file a fix-it idea, Every morning, file newly reported issues.
Armed / Paused in the header stops every automation at once.
